I’m short- 4 ft, 9 and 3/4 inches (and that 3/4 inches counts!) I’m a pediatric ophthalmologist (I do eye surgery on children and adults with crossed eyes) mother of 3 and a marathoner. I started running with the cross country team in high school to earn an “A” in P. E. Class, and fell in love with running. I ran the Chicago marathon in 1999 with friends during med school, and NYC marathon in 2003 during residency. After my kids were born and old enough to get breakfast for themselves in the mornings before school, I started running more early morning miles and ran the Ventura marathon in 2017, earning my first BQ of 3:38! I had a blast running the Boston in 2019 in 3:37 and fulfilling a long time dream.
